Hello!!
Long time since I have written on this blog! I have continued going to Kenya, and working on support for the people of West Pokot. I last went in August of 2008 with a team of 4 people. We had an awesome time with them. We supported a Women's Conference and many came to The Lord, and many were encouraged in their lives. Right now in April of 2009 the post election violence caused many people to leave their homes for safety sake, and some are still not home, due to losing thier jobs or homes burned out. We saw Red Cross tents housing many. This caused many farmers to not be back by planting time, so harvests were down. Now, famine has once again come to ravage lives. We recently sent money for maize and seeds for planting. If you have a heart to help, just contact me, Jane Howerth at jehkogo@yahoo.com for an update on many things we are doing. We hope to return with a team in October of this year. Please continue to pray for rain for them. Many times a little rain will come, they get their hopes up, seeds are planted, only to have little rain to continue until a harvest can come. Blessings on you day TODAY!!! Much love, Kogo Jane

Multiply The Music!
Wonderful Christians in Alaska gave a guitar to Pastor John Lodinyo 3 years ago, and it has waited for the right opportunity to fly to Kenya. They shipped it to us in South Carolina, and we took it with us in May to West Pokot. John has passed it on to another Pastor here to multiply the sounds of praise to The Lord from another village church in the bush.
Exciting Adventure!
If you want an exciting adventure to read, by all means get "White Man Walking," by Ward Brehm. This American businessman accepts a challenge to come to Kenya and walk to a remote area of the West Pokot bush with Pastor John Lodinyo. You will feel like you are on the journey with them!!
